Convenient entertaining is the hallmark of this stunning South Carolina poolside retreat, where custom ActivWall Gas Strut Windows create a seamless connection between indoor prep space and outdoor relaxation.
Set within a thoughtfully designed pool house complete with bar seating, lounge areas, and a covered grilling area, these Gas Strut Windows help create a flexible, open-air space ideal for year-round entertaining.
This beautiful project was crafted by Grier Development & Construction, who integrated two matching 60.5″ x 62 3/8″ Gas Strut Windows into the design. The versatile pass-through openings connect the indoor kitchenette to the outdoor grilling area and offer additional bar seating. Built as outswing units, they lift smoothly and stay open securely on commercial-grade struts, providing a convenient serving space.
The fully-customizable windows are built with our wood-clad system, combining a durable dark bronze thermally broken aluminum exterior with a warm primed pine wood interior. For clarity and efficiency in bright Southern weather, the units are equipped with specialty Cardinal 366 glass.
To complement the pool house’s architectural character, the windows were crafted with Simulated Divided Lites (SDL) and Grid Between Glass (GBG) in a 2×2 pattern. They also feature a flush sill, one of several structural sill options offered.
With fantastic design details from Grier Development & Construction and the versatility of ActivWall’s customizable products, this outdoor oasis is both inviting and beautifully functional, perfect for poolside living in South Carolina.
