Sleek ActivWall aluminum folding doors add versatility to this brewery and special events venue in South Carolina.

New Realm is an American craft brewery and distillery that started in 2016 with a flagship brewery and restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. The business brews innovative beers based on tradition, and its strong customer following has enabled New Realm to expand to three additional locations in Savannah, Charleston, and Virginia Beach.

Guests to New Realm’s Charleston, South Carolina location enjoy incredible flavors from the wood-fired kitchen and their 27 taps that are constantly pouring New Realm’s famous IPAs, pilsners, and small-batch beers crafted by Brewmaster Mitch Steele.

The Charleston location has three private dining areas for special events and a dedicated events coordinator to assist hosts. In their large indoor area, called The Music Room, designers used two ActivWall Folding Door units to create movable partition walls for the versatile event space.

The Music Room is a spacious area with a 30′ ceiling, and it can accommodate 150 guests. Features include a stage, a laser projector, and a 165″ screen. The two ActivWall doors, paired with large roll-up panels, allow the space to be configured as an open, semi-private, or private room, depending on the type of event being hosted.

The first ActivWall Folding Door is a three-panel unit and measures approximately 123″ wide by 95″ high. The second unit has two panels and measures about 75″ wide by 95″ high. Both units have aluminum frames finished in a flat black powder coat and 1/4″ clear tempered safety glass. They are top-hung and feature two-point locking handles for securing the spaces.

ActivWall Folding Walls, Windows, and Doors can be utilized in both commercial and residential settings as well as either exterior or interior.

Our superior American engineered hinges and motion hardware allow for the smooth operation of units, and thermally broken aluminum and dual-paned low-E glass make the AL62-HF extremely energy efficient.

Custom sizes, configurations, glass, and multiple sill options are available along with SDL (simulated divided lites or grilles) and integrated panic hardware (for commercial applications). There is also a floor-mounted system for applications where header weight support is problematic.
