• Folding wall systems that are exposed to exterior weathering conditions experience greater stresses. Regular cleaning is important to keep units free of dust, dirt, and other contaminants which may adversely affect architectural finishes and hardware operation and performance.
• For coastal applications, ActivWall recommends regular rinsing of exposed aluminum surfaces with fresh water to remove accumulated salt deposits.

• All seals must be regularly cleaned and lubricated at least once per year.
• ActivWall recommends 303-branded Rubber Seal Protectant to maintain seals.

• Use only mild-detergent cleaners and a soft cloth or chamois.
• Any solvent-based cleaner or gritty cleaning compound is unacceptable and will void warranty.

• Anodized and Powder-Coated finishes are highly durable and appropriate for architectural applications.
• Use only mild agents such as light soapy water. Abrasive and solvent-based cleaners must not be used and will void warranty.
• Use a soft cloth or chamois.

• A small amount of silicone-spray lubricant may be used where needed on hinges and header-carriage tracks to ease operation.
• Regularly inspect the sill to ensure that it is free from debris or other obstructive items that may interfere with, damage hardware, or otherwise impede smooth operation and performance.

The following items should be completed every 6 months.

• Regularly inspect weather seals and brushes for damage or loss. Contact ActivWall or your licensed dealer for replacements.
• Regularly inspect all exposed screws and tighten if needed.
• Examine the door’s interior and exterior finish. Follow recommendations for care, maintenance, and touch-up. Periodic cleaning will extend the lifespan of your finish.
• Clean using only mild-detergent, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with warm water or damp rag.
