ActivWall As Seen in Virginia Economic Review

February 8, 2023 – We are honored to be featured recently in Virginia Economic Review, a magazine published by the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP). According to VEDP, the Fourth Quarter 2022 issue “highlights companies across a wide breadth of industries that were founded in Virginia, have benefited from its stable, sensible business climate, and continue to find success in the Commonwealth.”

In the fall of 2022, photographer Elise Trissel of The Downtown Creative visited our headquarters and manufacturing facility in Martinsville, Virginia, to capture images of the heartbeat of the company that keeps ActivWall running – our incredible people.

The founders of ActivWall grew up in Martinsville & Henry County, Virginia. What began as Duke Ferrell and Carter Ferrell fabricating custom folding doors out of their basement in 2011 has grown into a dynamic company with 28 employees that now fills a 33,000-square-foot production facility.

Today, ActivWall produces custom moving window, wall, and door systems, including Gas Strut Windows and Pivot Doors that are shipped to commercial and residential projects all across North America.

Duke Ferrell, the President of ActivWall, said, “We are committed to playing a significant part in restoring the tradition of Southern Virginia as an industrial and manufacturing powerhouse.”

Thank you to the VEDP for recognizing our growing company and Elise Trissel for sharing her photography talents with us.
