At ActivWall, family isn’t just a value—it’s a priority. Throughout the year, our team members are encouraged to take time off for family vacations, youth sports, school ceremonies, and other important moments. We also welcome their children and grandchildren into our facility when childcare isn’t available, and now, we’ve taken that commitment to the next level.
To prepare for the busy summer months and better support our team, one of our dedicated employees, Tammy Kellam, came up with the idea to transform an unused space in our facility into a child-friendly playroom. With enthusiastic support from our President and Co-Founder, Duke Ferrell, Tammy led the initiative to bring her vision to life.
Over the course of three weeks, Tammy and several team members worked together to build a divider wall, paint the room in cheerful tones, install carpet and base molding, add safety features, and assemble all the toys and furniture. The result is a vibrant, enclosed space where preschool and school-aged children can safely play, read, watch TV, and even nap while their parents work nearby.
The playroom features colorful bean bag chairs, a child-size kitchen set and workbench, a reading corner, plush seating, a race track rug, and a craft table, creating a fun and welcoming environment for our young visitors.

As we look ahead to a bustling summer, the new playroom is already making a difference by offering peace of mind to parents and joyful experiences to their children. At ActivWall, we believe that when we care for our people, they can do their best work—and that includes caring for their families too.
