Perched on the picturesque shoreline of Deep Creek Lake in Maryland, Firewater Kitchen & Bar offers the ideal setting to unwind with a handcrafted cocktail and reconnect with friends. Accessible by boat from May through October and just a short drive from Wisp Resort, Firewater Kitchen is a favorite for both locals and visitors seeking a scenic lakeside experience.
To make the most of the sweeping lake views from inside the restaurant, ActivWall was asked to custom-build 14 Gas Strut Windows for the space. Doug Storck of DCL Design Studio carefully selected four different sizes of ActivWall windows to complement the restaurant’s layout and design goals.
Each window was finished in a sleek dark bronze powder coat and crafted with insulated glass to ensure energy efficiency and comfort year-round. A raised saddle sill was incorporated into every unit for added weather protection, making the windows as durable as they are beautiful.

The windows open out onto a stunning 1,700 sq. ft. patio, complete with heated pavers and a 32-foot linear fireplace—creating the perfect ambiance for spring and fall dining.
