Virgin Hotel Dallas

We had the opportunity to build custom ActivWall Gas Strut Windows for the Virgin Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

Two units were designed for this project and they are installed in the patio kitchen of the hotel’s rooftop bar, The Pool Club Dallas. The thermally broken aluminum windows open up to create a pass-through for serving and an outdoor seating area. 

One unit has three windows and measures 180″ wide by 50″ high. The second unit measures 56″ wide by 58″ high and is installed lower for ADA access. 

To add a visual pop of interest, they are finished in Virgin’s signature red. The pull handles are finished in a matching red and the interior locking handles are finished in brushed chrome.

The windows can be opened from the inside with a gentle push and can be closed using ActivWall’s optional pull hook. (See the video below for a demo.)
