The Daisy Tiny Home

The Daisy Tiny Home

If you think that you need a big house to own an ActivWall product, think again! The Daisy is a custom-built tiny home that is 34 ft long x 8.5 wide. Built-in Danville, Georgia by Hummingbird Tiny Housing, the Daisy is packed with features such as a gable roof, a downstairs bedroom, and an ActivWall Horizontal Folding Window.

Tom and Denise Ryals have been building tiny homes for more than 30 years. They combine old-school building practices to make your house strong with modern techniques and materials.

In the Daisy’s kitchen, you’ll find open shelving, a smooth surface cooktop, pop-up ventilation, hickory cabinets with black walnut countertops, a 33-inch stainless steel sink with a hands-free kitchen faucet.

Over the sink, a three-panel ActivWall Folding Window (also known as a bi-fold window) is mounted to open up the space, let in the fresh air, and serve as a pass-through window.

Every window by ActivWall is custom designed for the customer and manufactured in Martinsville, Virginia. This window for The Daisy measures 5′ wide by 3′ high and is finished in a white powder coat with a flush style sill.

American-engineered hinges and motion hardware allow for the smooth operation of this window, and the thermally broken aluminum and dual-paned low-E glass make the product extremely energy efficient.

The Daisy’s master bedroom includes a false barn wood door, a 100-year-old church window, his/hers closet, a custom storage bed, and a small storage loft.

The 8-foot living room features an 84-inch projection screen with a projector and stairs to the loft.

In the bathroom, you’ll find a tile floor, tile shower with glass door, a 36-inch vanity with additional storage, medicine cabinet, residential toilet, and a vented washer/dryer combo.

There is LED lighting throughout the home, and once this home is delivered, Hummingbird can add a 22 ft. X 12 ft. screened-in porch to the front to maximize living area. Home sweet home!
